TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  In accordance with school calendar and board policy.

EVALUATION:          In accordance with ESP Agreement.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:        None

 

SUMMARY:                To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office so that the office’s maximum positive impact on the education of children can be realized.

 

QUALIFICATION/BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

  1. A high school diploma or GED.
  2. Computer skills and knowledge of MACs preferred.
  3. One year of office experience preferred.
  4. Ability to keep school/student information confidential.
  5. Demonstrates job responsibility, regular attendance and punctuality.
  6. Neat personal appearance, courtesy, good judgment and good physical and mental health.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: 

 

  1. Receives and routes all incoming calls in a courteous, helpful manner covering miscellaneous requests.
  2. Helps and directs visitors, personnel, and students as appropriate referring them to appropriate resource.
  3. Performs office routines utilizing established practices in an efficient and organized manner.
  4. Maintains students records as required: pulling records, transferring records, receiving incoming records and setting up records for new students.  Also maintains student records on Infinite Campus.
  5. Verify information regarding personnel and students, taking into consideration the district’s policy on confidentiality.
  6. Compile and complete reports for time cards, time sheets, school reports, 9-week reports, leave requests, vouchers, requisition sheets, and supply requisitions.
  7. Types memos, correspondence, etc as requested by building administrator.
  8. Maintains the daily staff attendance log, time clocks, and the records for substitute teachers.
  9. Opens, sorts, and distributes mail. Also stamps correspondence for mailing and routes mail through interdepartmental mail system.
  10. Utilizes MAC computer for student recordkeeping, word processing, and other software as requested.
  11. Other duties may be assigned.

 

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

 

  1. Assists teachers in preparing instructional materials as requested.
  2. Filing information and records as needed.
  3. Operate/maintain standard office equipment.
  4. Participates in inservice training/workshops/programs as requested.
